The Bonus Tools are a little odd, they are created by Autodesk but are not supported by them. So the tools are not directly included with Maya 2018. This menu allows you to add a couple of interesting additional HUD elements like:
- Vertex Distance
- Edge Length
Rendering > Assign New Material for Each Selected
This allows you to quickly create individual lambert materials for all the objects you created. This tool especially pays off if you name your stuff correctly as it uses the object name to as a basis for the shader name.
