Sadly Autodesk does not provide Debian Linux packages. This makes it quite difficult to get Maya running on Ubuntu. Here is my modified install script for Maya 2014. Note: This was only tested on Ubuntu 13.04 and probably does not work on more recent versions of Ubuntu https://gist.github.com/borgfriend/5597742
